A SCOTSMAN who tends the greens at a Loudwater golf club has begrudgingly joined in with World Cup fever by painting a huge England flag on the course.
Proud Scot Colin Wilson, the greenkeeper at Wycombe Heights Golf Club, was given a gentle ribbing by his colleagues after putting the finishing touches on the St George's Cross.
The club's general manager Russell Stebbings said: “Colin wasn’t particularly happy about painting the flag, but I think he’s secretly quite happy with his tidy handiwork.
“Everyone is extremely excited about the World Cup and we wanted to do something to show our support for the England team.”
