A POLICE helicopter flew out to Loudwater after a call saying there had been a 'physical altercation' on a bus this afternoon.
The chopper hovered over Station Road at about 2pm for around ten minutes.
Thames Valley Police confirmed it had been monitoring the scene after the call out about an 'argument' on the vehicle.
Two officers on the ground went to the bus and one man was given a penalty notice for disorder for the alleged 'altercation'.
The man faces an £80 fine if he accepts the penalty notice – but will go to court if he disputes it.
Police spokesman Pierre du Bois said there had been “two people having an argument” on the bus.
He said: “When the call came in it sounded quite bad and the helicopter was nearby.
“The helicopter makes the rounds and if there's something nearby and it sounds really nasty it gets an aerial view of what's happening.
“There's allegations of physical contact but in the end someone got a penalty notice disorder.”
There were a lot of elderly people on the bus and one of the men involved in the alleged altercation had a dog, he said.
Witnesses gave varying accounts, he added.
Mr du Bois emphasised that the chopper was already close to Loudwater when the incident happened and had not been called out from base for the incident.
