MORE than £2,000 has been raised to bring Christmas lights to Wooburn Green this year.
Residents have been busy selling tickets to a Grand Draw, which will be held at the 'Tea on the Green' event on Sunday, July 18.
Tickets to the draw, which has a first prize of £250, are still available from Selleck Electrical on The Green, The Old Bell pub in Wooburn Town and Bourne End Library.
Those attending The Tea will be able to enjoy a rare performance from a mechanical fairground organ.
The Red Cow pup on The Green is holding a Race Night on July 22 to help raise more money for the lights, which will cost about £8,500 in total. Get there at 8pm for an 8.30pm start. All are welcome.
If you would like to know more about the Christmas Lights, or would like to help with the draw or the tea, call the Residents Association on 01628 525033.
