THE Faculty of Design at Holmer Green Senior School enjoyed a storming success at their third annual Summer show.

Work exhibited by GCSE, AS and A2 students in the subjects of Art & Design, Graphic Communication and Products, Photography, Textiles, Food Technology, Resistant Materials and Product Design attracted an even greater number of visitors than the previous two years.

The event was a team effort with staff and students working together to deliver a "wonderful" and "inspiring" exhibition.

A significant portion of the Holmer Green public made an appearance to celebrate the local youth and their achievements.

One member of the public said: "Once again, a stimulating and exciting experience to see the exhibition. I was interested in the range of interpretations and the maturity of the work".

The younger years also demonstrated their competence and team spirit, with Food Technology students from Year 9 making the refreshments, and Music students providing the soundtrack to the evening with live performances. Prefects from Year 10 played the role of host, ensuring that guests were well looked after.

Another resident of Holmer Green said: "We have some very talented students at HGSS. They should be very proud of themselves".
