Marlow man's 1,000 mile cycle completed
A MARLOW man has completed his mission to cycle from Land's End to John O' Groats to raise money for charity.
John Spooner, 35, Barnhill Close, Marlow raised over £4,000 which is being split between the British Heart Foundation and the Youth Sport Trust. Mr Spooner completed the cycle ride of over 1,000 miles in just 12 days to meet his family at the end in John O' Groats, Scotland last month.
He said of his success: “It was a fantastic feeling, the sense of achievement was good and a feeling of relief.”
The family went onto describe why he wanted to do the cycle ride. “Its something I've always wanted to do. Now got to work out what to do next.”
