A PROMINENT High Wycombe citizen, who asked to be anonymous, sent me the following tale in despair: “I was driving along Daws Hill Lane following a vehicle which had a sign in the back window stating ‘caution baby on board – please drive carefully’ (or words to that effect – you must have seen hundreds of them).
“Presumably, it was requesting me to be careful. When we reached the junction with Marlow Hill, where the road splits into two lanes, I pulled alongside and looked across. The woman driving was on her mobile phone!!!
“Obviously she only had an interest in everybody else driving carefully. Words fail me.”
Since, however, words never fail me, I suggest that there is a nice new line of merchandise in car stickers for this type of driver.
I suggest marketing a back window sign saying: “Caution – idiot with mobile phone on board.”
