THAME man Chris Varian was decapitated, Thames Valley Police revealed today.
The 32-year-old was murdered at The Oxfordshire Golf Club in Milton Common, near Thame, on Saturday afternoon following a dispute at the 'goods in' area of the £6m complex, police said.
Det Ch Insp Steve Tolmie said today: “I am aware that there has been some speculation surrounding the circumstances of Mr Varian’s death in the local media.
“Thames Valley Police can confirm that Mr Varian died as a result of decapitation.
“This was a horrific and callous murder and I would request that Mr Varian’s family are given the privacy they deserve to mourn their loved one.”
- Jonathan Limani, 33, has been charged with murder and remanded to provisionally appear at Oxford Crown Court on October 22.
