HOME Secretary Theresa May and Olympic gold medallist Greg Searle will launch a new £1m sports training centre today.
The Maidenhead MP and British rower will be the special guests at Longridge outdoor activities centre in Quarry Wood Road, Bisham, Marlow.
The building is part of a £3m upgrade project.
It includes changing facilities, bathrooms, a main hall for events and rooms for classes and other activities.
Sport England were the major contributors with a £1.1million grant.
Money for the project also came through grants from The Michael Shanly Trust, Buckinghamshire County Council and The Percy Bilton Trust and fundraisers.
The Training Centre has been designed by specialist environmental architects Blue Forest.
Centre Director Amanda Foister said: “ It is at the cutting edge of environmental design and build and it couldn't be greener.
“The new centre will be much more than new changing facilities; it will be an innovative and inspirational resource for all of Longridge's 80,000 annual visitors.”
