POLICE have arrested a 24-year-old in connection with a car crash which lead to the deaths of two young women.

At about 2.40am on Friday, November 12 a grey Renault Clio containing six people collided with a tree and the vehicle caught fire on the A413 Amersham Road, Denham. (See links below).

Casey Robson, 20, and Nicole Hitchings-Wooden,20, died and four others were pulled out of the burning car by passer-by David Searle.

Police say the 24-year-old driver of the Clio has been arrested in connection with the incident and released on bail until December 21.

On Thursday evening police undertook a witness appeal at Winkers night club in Chalfont St Peter, where they successfully identified a number of witnesses the investigation team were keen to trace.

Sgt Nigel Welham, the senior investigating officer in this collision, said: “We had a number of witnesses come forward thanks to our appeal at the club.

“However it was very disappointing to see that, despite the high profile nature of this collision and the fact that there were a number of highly visible uniformed Roads Policing officers and vehicles at the club, three people were arrested for drink driving and public order offences.”
