REPLACEMENT buses are being operated by Chiltern Railways this evening after the wintry weather impacted services.

An hourly bus will run between Princes Risborough and Aylesbury in place of trains from London and High Wycombe.

No services will be running to Aylesbury Vale Parkway and fewer carriages will be used on trains this evening.

Trains will also not be stopping at Wembley Stadium, Sudbury and Harrow Road, Sudbury Hill Harrow, Northolt Park, South Ruislip, West Ruislip tonight.

Reduced services will also be in operation tomorrow, with the altered timetable to be announced on Chiltern Railways' website later today (see link, below).

Chiltern Railways has apologised to passengers for any inconvenience the changed timetable will cause.

Severe delays are also being reported on the Metropolitan Underground line serving Amersham and Chesham.

And buses have experienced some disruption as well. See link below for more details.

As at 7am the Met Office was not forecasting further snowfall to hit the county on Monday, although temperatures are set to remain below freezing throughout the day. Residents are advised to keep checking for updates before travelling.

The bucks county council used to report on the buses but they don't seem to be this year (unless I'm looking in the wrong place in which case please could you let me know where to look!?)
Anyone attempted Hughenden Avenue or The Pastures yet? They seemed okay for 4x4s last night but a)ice over night and b) rush hour traffic might change all of that!

Nextbus gives up to date info on buses that use satellite tracking, such as most of the Carousel Buses from Wycombe. Can track each bus at every bus stop in Bucks.......an excellent service on mobile phones and the Internet at home

As of 08:11 this morning, the met office still has London and the South East (including us) under the heavy snow warning! All weather forecasts are threatening more snow for us here by 5pm tonight.

As for roads most main routes seem drivable with care. I am a little surprised we can't get a route update anywhere.

Well I must be going daft then because this is not what I am reading at all - neither on the Met office site or the BBC website.
No mention of snow and no severe weather warnings in place - just very very cold.http://www.meto

Chiltern Railways left so many people stranded by making a decision during the day not to stop at South and West Ruislip, Northolt Park and Wembley.

Meaning all commuters who struggled into work were not able to get home.

The important link to the Central Line was more than an inconvenience.

Absolutely disgraceful behaviour and I hope someone gets sacked and adequate compensation for those who had to make alternative arrangements.

Not that there is an alternative to getting home to Buckinghamshire without the rail.

Just wonder if the Billions being spent on HS2 could be better used in looking after the current route.

This is what private rail companies do. I would suggest that Chiltern trains took advantage of the Central Line and ran up to it and then left hte passengers to the mercy of LUL, Like I said in another post, private companies are profit driven. All public transport, utilities, etc should be state owned ensuring that service comes before profit it's what we pay our taxes for, not long now for the NHS to suffer the same and only those who can pay will survive, aahhh the Great Britain.
