A LOYAL dinner lady was full of emotion as pupils at a Wooburn Green school helped her celebrate 25 years in the job.
Pat Saunders, 58, was the guest of honour for a Royal Wedding party at The Meadows School last Thursday.
Though the school stopped doing cooked meals in the 1980s, Pat has continued as a midday supervisor for pupils during their lunchbreak.
The mum-of-two, of Meare Estate, was also a pupil at the old infant school on the School Road site.
She said: “You don't actually realise you've been somewhere for 25 years, it sort of creeps up on you.
"The children are lovely and I wouldn't keep doing it if I didn't like it. I see children from two-and-a-half through to 11.”
