THE owner of an Indian restaurant in Askett said it was a "privilege" to have the Prime Minister and his wife dine there after they popped in for a bite to eat.
David and Samantha Cameron went to Coco Tamarind last Saturday at about 8.30pm when the restaurant was beginning to quieten down.
Owner Mohammad Hasan said: “There were two bodyguards outside in the car park and two guys sitting away from them.
“We had most of out diners early and there were a couple of table left.
“It is actually quite a privilege for us. We have had other celebrities come here- Sarah Harding lives locally and JK from Jamiroquai.”
The two chefs on the night were Asab Ali and Anwar Hussain.
