A CHEERLEADING squad based in High Wycombe have scooped an array of national awards after a competition in Manchester.
The Kobika Starlites Cheerleading Squad won seven trophies including one first place, three second places and one third place at the UKCA National Community Cheerleading Championships.
The teams arrived at 8.30am at the Manchester Velodrome and more than 40 teams performed thorough the day until 8.30pm.
Four sets of teams- Junior A, Junior B and Seniors, plus a senior stunt group won the awards after performing Pom Dance, Stunts and Cheerleading routines.
Parent of one of the daughters who attends the dance school, Louise Marshall, said: “The fabulous Kobika Starlites, in conjunction with Kobika Dance have really earned recognition in the dance and cheerleading sectors and are set to steam ahead with the offer of a brand new scholarship, a vast array of summer academies and the anticipation of competing at the British Red Cross Dance for Life semi finals in July.”
