A FORMER Olympic Ambassador has been jailed for two years for her role in this summer's riots.
Chelsea Ives, 18, of Birch Grove in Leytonstone, admitted burglary and damaging property, along with two counts of violent disorder.
The charge of burglary and violent disorder related to an attack on a T-Mobile shop in Church Street in Enfield on August 7, for which she received 18 months and two years, respectively.
Ives also pleaded guilty at Wood Green Crown Court to damaging a marked police car on the same street that day, for which she got six months.
She also admitted to violent disorder in Hackney on August 8 and was jailed for two years.
All four sentences which were handed out at Wood Green Crown Court yesterday, are to be served concurrently at a young offenders' institute.
She was reported to the police by her parents after they spotted her on television.
After becoming an Olympic youth ambassador in Waltham Forest in 2008, she had the responsibility of helping visitors and other voluntary duties during the Games.
She has also been involved in the Leyton Orient Community Sports Programme (LOCSP), and was pictured in the Guardian in 2009 at one of its events at the Houses of Parliament.
Two other charges of burglary, which she denied, will lie on file.
