A DRIVER who killed his friend after crashing his car when over the drink-drive limit has been jailed for four years.

Marc Wood crashed his blue VW Bora near the Tesco supermarket in Loudwater in the early hours of Saturday May 28 in a collision that killed 23-year-old Jack Dutton of Five Acres, Wooburn Green.

Police had tried to stop 21-year-old Wood, of Watery Lane, Wooburn Green, moments before the accident after spotting him driving without his headlights on.

Wood pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving and driving whilst over the prescribed alcohol limit when he appeared at Aylesbury Crown Court on Wednesday December 14.

He was jailed for a total of four years and banned from driving for two years.
