A TEAM of High Wycombe sales girls, some of whom have lost relatives to heart attacks, will be climbing the UK’s three highest peaks in just 24 hours to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

Saima Sabir, from Maidenhead, wanted to take on the challenge after losing her Uncle and Grandmother to heart attacks- she has also recruited of five of her work colleagues from TTI, as well as two friends and her sister, Sadia Mohammed, to accompany her as she tackles the three peaks.

Her female colleagues, all of whom are sales executives at TTI, a speciality distributor of electronic components, aim to reach the summits of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon on Friday, June 22 and hope to raise over £2,300.

Team member, Sara Avent, said: “A few years ago my Uncle, then only 38 years old, had a series of heart attacks and survived mainly due to the skill and dedication of those who looked after him in hospital- this is my way of doing something positive to contribute to the British Heart Foundation.”

In preparation for the challenge the team have been on a strict gym regime- running, climbing and walking- but also using the hilly area around Wycombe and Aylesbury as a place to practice their uphill walking.

Saima said: “I strongly believe philanthropic work is a key to business and personal success- heart disease is the number one killer in the UK and we need to raise awareness about the importance of heart health and help save lives.”
