A 26-YEAR-old man has been charged with GBH after a 53-year-old man was assaulted in High Wycombe.

On Sunday at about 1.25am in Mill End Road a 53-year-old man was assaulted and sustained several cuts to his face, a fractured eye socket, a swollen nose, and an injured ankle.

Alan Phillip Valentine, 26, from Station Road, High Wycombe, has been charged with one count of section 18 GBH, two counts of criminal damage, and one count of a section four public order offence.

The criminal damage charges are in relation to damage caused to a car in Mill End Road and a fence in New Road, and the public order charge is in relation to threatening behaviour in New Road.

Investigating officers remain keen to trace two specific witnesses. Two black teenage boys witnessed the attack and made some comments to other witnesses. If you are either of these witnesses or you know their identity, contact Det Con Quoc Vo via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
