A MOTHER whose teenage son died of a rare liver cancer will join Amersham’s Mayor for a five kilometre race around The Rye.
Aaron West tragically died in 2010 aged just 16-years-old.
In memory of the Amersham School pupil, his mother Dax and Mayor Mimi Harker will don their running shoes for this year’s Race for Life.
Thousands of women across the country will run, jog or walk the five kilometre race which in its eighteenth year has become the biggest women-only cancer fundraiser, with proceeds going to Cancer Research.
Two races will take place at The Rye tomorrow, with the first starting at 11am followed by a 3pm event. Stalls and activities will be available for spectators.
