TV personalities Fern Britton and Johnny Ball have been unveiled by the BBC as contestants in this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Fern, who lives in Holmer Green with husband Phil Vickery and four children, is taking part alongside Olympic cyclist Victoria Pendleton and model Jerry Hall.

And Farnham Common resident Johnny, best known as a science whizz and former children’s TV presenter, will also be putting his best foot forward in the show.

Their professional partners will be revealed at the launch show on Saturday September 15th and the series will officially start three weeks later.

This is Fern's second turn on the Strictly dancefloor, she took part in a Strictly Come Christmas special with professional partner Matthew Cutler in 2010.
