MORE than 300 runners made the most of the fine weather on Sunday to compete in the Wooburn Park 10k race. The familiar faces of Eddie O'Gorman and Samantha Amend were the first male and female across the finishing line, in times of 35:51 and 37:18 respectively. Burnham Joggers scooped the team prize.

BOURNE END drama group Future Forum is staging its own play called ‘Virus’ at the Community Centre tonight and tomorrow. FLACKWELL HEATH Methodist Church is taking part in the World's Biggest Coffee Morning on Saturday, September 29, to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. From 10am – 12 noon there will be Fairtrade tea and coffee, home-made cakes, Traidcraft, jewellery and a bring-and-buy stall, plus entertainment from local pianist and composer Alex Routledge.
