WORK is well underway to transform an old building in Princes Risborough into homes.

Builders have left a shell of the British School, which was established in 1836.

Planning permission was given for partial demolition of the existing building, including removal of extensions.

It will be converted into three two bed dwellings with associated access, parking and bin and cycle storage.

Resident, Diane, said: "I just thought it was a shame for an historical building to be transformed into that.

"Once you change something you can't get it back. It has gone."
