A THIEF has been jailed for two and a half years following two burglaries in High Wycombe.
Daniel Hare, of Lynchfield Road, High Wycombe, was sentenced to 30 months behind bars at Aylesbury Crown Court on July 21.
The 37-year-old was convicted of burgling a house in Tilling Crescent, High Wycombe, on April 24 – stealing electrical equipment and a car, which was later found abandoned not far from the house.
The same day he was caught pinching bottles of wine from Tesco Express in Hatters Lane.
Hare was arrested and charged on the following day with the offences.
Investigating officer PC Dale Lester said: “This sentence sends out a strong message that reports of burglary are taken seriously by Thames Valley Police.
“It reflects on the intrusive and distressing nature of the crime and I hope it brings some sense of closure to the victim.”
