A HIGH Wycombe man has been charged with robbery and perverting the court of justice after a 60-year-old man was robbed of almost £2000 at a bookmakers in High Wycombe.
David Duff, 31, of Challoner Road, Cressex, was arrested on September 2 and charged on Wednesday, September 10, with the one count of robbery and one count of perverting the course of justice.
The charges relate to an incident at Coral in Cressex Road, High Wycombe at 4.45pm on August 29.
A 60-year-old man was robbed of £1,990 in cash. The victim was later threatened over the subsequent police investigation into the robbery.
Duff appeared at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on Thursday and was remanded in custody. He is due to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on September 18.
