POLICE have been granted more time to question a 19-year-old High Wycombe man suspected of being involved with terrorism.
The man, named locally as Yousaf Syed, was arrested and detained following a counter terrorism raid on a property in Desborough Avenue last Thursday.
Using powers under terrorism legislation, Metropolitan Police have been allowed a further week to question him in custody after the initial seven-day period expired.
Police said the arrest was part of an ongoing investigation into Islamist related terrorism.
Officers from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command (SO15) are working with the SE Counter Terrorism Unit and MI5.
Police confirmed three other addresses in High Wycombe were also searched.
Mr Syed was arrested "on suspicion of being concerned in the Commission, Preparation or Instigation of acts of Terrorism" and is one of four men currently in police custody.
The other arrests were made in Hounslow, Uxbridge and Southall.
Police confirmed no charges have made.
