A man suffered a suspected broken arm last night after his car collided with a van which drove off without stopping outside a Marlow supermarket.

The 19-year-old passenger was injured when a van, believed to be a Ford Transit, hit the Suzuki 4x4 he was travelling in and failed to stop after the crash on Chapel Street, opposite Waitrose at about 11.45pm.

The force of the impact caused the Suzuki to crash into a row of buildings by the side of the road, and dislodged bricks in the wall of Mercury House, which houses Richardson Jones Accountants.

Officers were called at 11.49pm and an ambulance crew attended the scene shortly after, with the passenger taken to Wexham Park hospital.

South Central Ambulance service said the Suzuki driver, a man in his 20s, was also assessed for arm and leg injuries, but was not taken to hospital.

Police said they are looking to trace the driver of the van, which may be silver in colour, but could not confirm the direction the vehicle drove away.

Anyone who was in the vicinity and may have information on the crash should call the non-emergency number 101.
