A man has been arrested and questioned about a spate of fly tipping of tyres in the Iver area.

The man was arrested on May 12 in connection to one incident, but Buckinghamshire County Council believe he could be responsible for as many as nine instances of illegally dumping tyres.

The council’s waste enforcement officer David Rounding said: “A man was arrested in the early hours of May 12 by Thames Valley Police, and later questioned by Buckinghamshire County Council officers (representing the Waste Partnership for Buckinghamshire) about a spate of fly-tipping in the Iver area involving the dumping of waste tyres.

“As a result of this questioning, summonses are now being considered in relation to nine waste tyre dumping incidents in January, March, April and May 2015, though it is not possible at this stage to forecast at what date this would come to court should any legal proceedings commence.

“The Waste Partnership is extremely grateful to the police for their support in this and other cases across Buckinghamshire.”
