TONY Blair will be asked to listen to the fears of South Bucks residents over NHS changes as the Dossier of Despair is handed over to Number 10.
Wycombe MP Paul Goodman will meet our Hand Back Our Hospital delegation in Downing Street to give the Prime Minister's aides the document listing the concerns of hundreds of patients and medical staff.
He said: "I hope Tony Blair reads it. I hope he addresses the fundamental issues which it raises, before it is too late. If he does, this Dossier of Despair could yet be a dossier of hope."
The delegation are travelling to the capital in a battle bus, which is from High Wycombe company Carousel.
The new vehicle, which Carousel were due to pick up on Friday, has a digital display panel on the side to spell out our Hand Back Our Hospital slogan.
Steve Burns, the company managing director, will personally drive our delegation to Downing Street.
He said: "I don't agree with what is happening at Wycombe Hospital.
"I was a patient in the summer and I received excellent care. We should do anything we can to try and stop the hospital being run down."
Leading our delegation on the battle bus will be seven-year-old Stanley Fairchild, pictured left, from Marlow Hill, with his mum Trudi, 34, and dad Steve, 47.
In 2004 Stanley was featured in the Free Press after telling his mum that he wanted to give up his birthday money to help keep Wycombe Hospital's children's services in town.
They will be joined by Jodie Elliott, 33, of Totteridge Road, a worried mum too scared to have more children in Wycombe, and Janet Milne, of Marlow, who fiercely campaigned to save the special care baby unit. Completing the group will be representatives from the three major political parties, Wycombe's Conservative MP Paul Goodman, Labour district councillor Rafiq Raja and former mayor Frances Alexander, representing the Lib Dems. Mrs Alexander said: "The Bucks Free Press is to be congratulated for compiling the dossier and taking the lead in representing the views of local people, who have been let down by the democratic process."
