FIVE areas of land, which have all been controversially mooted for new housing, as part of a ‘reserve list’, could soon be released for development, following a proposal to Wycombe District Council.
The five areas include Slate Meadow, Gomm Valley and Ashwells, Abbey Barn South and North, and Terriers Farm.
In a meeting this week, concerned parties will be told that the areas could all be developed, despite big opposition from residents since the councils new Local Plan was released earlier this year.
This proposal comes after new government frameworks stated the district needs to develop between 500 and 700 new homes every year, with the council previously being asked to work to a target of 400 homes.
The proposal has now been put forward by Cllr Neil Marshall, the cabinet member for planning and sustainability and a final decision will be made by the full council in October.
