SPONSORS are being sought to support the fourth annual Union Awards, being held next month by the Students’ Union at Buckinghamshire New University to recognise and reward students and their achievements over the past academic year.
The event, held at Wycombe Town Hall on April 24, is expected to be attended by around 250 students, staff and external sponsors.
Categories include: society committee member of the year, charity fundraiser of the year, volunteer of the year, journalist of the year, society of the year, campaigner of the year, student rep of the year, student staff member of the year and the student leadership award.
Coveted honorary life membership and union fellowship awards which traditionally go to students who have demonstrated an outstanding degree of commitment and initiative during their time at the University are also bestowed.
Organisers are trying to ensure that each award has an associated sponsor to support and present it at the event.
