WORK to strengthen a bridge in Hughenden Avenue in High Wycombe will start on Monday for four weeks.
Transport for Buckinghamshire’s project involves building a traffic island in the middle of the road to spread weight more evenly.
This island will also help to deter parking on pavements, says TfB.
A 24-hour two-way temporary traffic signal will be installed, with manual control during peak hours to ease traffic flow.
The bridge is located over the River Wye, which runs underneath the carriageway, around 150 yards from the mini roundabout with the A4128.
