TWO people had to be treated in hospital after they were assaulted by 'smartly dressed men with gelled hair' in High Wycombe.

The two male victims were walking from Green Street in the direction of the town centre when three men approached from the opposite direction and assaulted them.

The incident happened at about 12.30am on Saturday, September 10, though details were only released today as police appealed for witnesses.

Officers described the offenders as Asian, aged in their late teens to early twenties, and dressed smartly with their hair gelled.

Det Con Tom Gregory, investigating the incident, said: “Both men needed to go to hospital for treatment to their injuries and I am keen to speak to anyone who might have seen what happened.

“During the assault the three offenders were joined by a number of other people, possibly up to 20 others.

“All those involved were dressed as though they were going for a night out, and I would like to speak to anyone who saw these people before or after the assault happened, or if they know who these people might be.”
