SWORDS will clash as the medieval times return to Marlow later this month.

Danesfield School in Henley Road, Medmenham, is celebrating its 60th year with a fete.

All the children are being asked to dress up and come along as kings, knights, lords, ladies and princesses as re-enactment group Professional Knights (pictured) provide the entertainment.

There will be two battles and a demonstration showing the arming of the knights and sharing the experience of what it would have been like to have been one.

Within the Danesfield School grounds there will be a fort which will play centre stage for the children to join in the fun.

Michael Acton Smith, a former pupil and founder of popular children's toy and website Moshi Monsters, will be opening the event.

It takes place on Sunday May 12.
