Grainger picking up an honorary doctorate in September from Bucks New Uni to go with her other academic achievements
MARLOW’S multi-talented Olympic star has another feather in her cap from this week after landing a top academic position.
Katherine Grainger - who announced her return to rowing in September - will become Oxford Brookes University's new chancellor.
The 38-year-old Marlow Rowing Club member, who won gold at London 2012, was given an honorary doctorate from the university this year, as well as one from Bucks New University.
And the academic sportswoman recently completed a PhD in Criminal Law at King's College London.
She said: "It is a particularly exciting time to join the university with next year being the 150th anniversary."
