A WOMAN has died after a collision on the A413 between Great Missenden and Amersham this morning, with police appealing for witnesses to the fatal crash.

The female driver of a Honda Jazz died at the scene of the two-car collision, which happened at the junction with Hyde Heath and Chalk Lane.

Four occupants of a Volkswagen Golf - a man, a woman, a boy and a girl, were taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital with minor injuries.

Firefighters responded to calls at 10.33am with crews from Great Missenden and Amersham attending the scene.

The road was closed for investigations and recovery following the incident and was re-opened at 2pm.

Investigating officer, PC Andrew Martin of Amersham Roads Policing said: “We appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident to please contact us as soon as possible.”

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact Amersham Roads Policing via the 24-hour non-emergency number 101.
