MASKED men threatened staff at a High Wycombe town centre shop with a gun.

Cash was stolen from the Poundworld store in High Street after two men broke into the safe after taking the key from staff.

Both men were wearing balaclavas and one of them was carrying a handgun during the raid, which took place at around 5.45pm last night.

Thames Valley Police today issued descriptions of the two men as they launched an appeal for witnesses to contact them.

They are both thought to be in their mid-20s and of a slim build. One man was wearing black cargo trousers, a black top and glasses over his balaclava.

The second man is said to be around 5ft 8ins tall. Police do not know which man was carrying the gun during the robbery.

Anyone with information on the raid should contact DS Andy Williams at High Wycombe police station on 08458 505 505 or the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
