This is High Wycombe High Street in the year that the United Nations Charter is ratified by the United States, which became the third to join the new international organisation, and Lord Haw-Haw is charged with treason.
The photograph was taken in June 1945, from the south side of High Street, midway along, looking north-west.
It shows crowds of people who had gathered for the visit of victorious war hero Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
Were you there on the day? Did you meet the legendary politician and what impression did he make on you? What was the atmosphere like and what are your memories of the occasion?
Perhaps you can spot a parent, grandparent, brother, sister or uncle?
