THE Free Press is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year and is looking for readers with special memories of our history, including stories or pictures, that have made a difference to the public.
The newspaper was set up in December 1856 by chemist, bookseller, stationer and publisher William Butler.
Based in Church Street, High Wycombe, it was known as The South Bucks Free Press.
The newspaper has seen many changes in technology since papers were fed into the printing presses by hand and deliveries were managed by horse and cart.
The Free Press moved to its fourth location in Station Road, Loudwater, in May. Before that it was based in Gomm Road, High Wycombe; Castle Street and the original Church Street site.
The paper is owned by publishers Newsquest, and has been edited by ninth editor Steve Cohen since 1994.
Around 100 people work in the Loudwater office, which also houses sister publications Midweek, South Bucks Star, and the Hillingdon and Ealing Times.
