On my first day of school I was excited, but nervous. My big brother went to King’s Wood School, but he was going to king’s Wood Junior School now, so I wouldn’t see him. In those days there were two different schools, on two different sites, with different teachers, different rules, etc.In the autumn of 2002 the schools amalgamated. This meant that there was only one head teacher, but as the school was still on two sites it still felt like two different schools. Eventually the building work on to the KS2 site was finished and nearly two years ago we all moved into Hollis Road. The school seemed big and scary, and there was still lots of building work going on. Now the school is really good, and the only work men we see are ones working in the gardens or fixing things like at other schools. Read on to find out lots of things about our school.
