IVOR Beeks is to step aside as Wanderers joint chairman at the end of the year.

From January 1 Don Woodward will be sole chairman of the club, with Beeks standing down after 25 years at the helm.

He will however remain as a board member at the Adams Park club.

Wycombe Wanderers Trust chairman Trevor Stroud said: “On behalf of Wycombe Wanderers Trust, I would like to place on record our appreciation of the work by Ivor Beeks as Chairman of Wycombe Wanderers over a 25 year period.

"Very few Football League Chairman will complete such a period of time, and Ivor’s influence in the development of  the Football Club should not be underestimated.”

Thanks Ivor. Good man, made more good decisions than bad, please show the new man how to communicate with the public before you move on. So far Mr Woodface has blanked me at every oppertunity. (He may just be painfully shy)
