Ainsworth glad stability's back at Adams Park
GARETH Ainsworth thinks the uncertainty caused by not having a permanent manager in charge has been lifted after his appointment.
The 39-year-old felt there was a lack of stability around the club while he was caretaker, with players unsure of their future while the manager's role was up in the air.
But Ainsworth thought they looked more settled against Rochdale in his first match in permanent charge of Wanderers, resulting in a positive performance against a side challenging for a play-off place.
He said: "Maybe the stability was a bit of an issue, even though there's a caretaker manager. Until you're the official manager it's always difficult to realise what's happening.
"I think stability has helped. That's one of the best performances of the season so far and we were very unlucky.
"If we keep churning out performances like that then we'll be OK."
