CHESHAM RFC's historic march in the National Junior Vase ended two matches short of Twickenham as they lost to Newent in the quarter-finals on Saturday.

They were outclassed by the Gloucestershire outfit, who won 50-0 at Chiltern Hills Academy.

Chesham reached the last eight after beating Farnham Royal in the Bucks Junior Vase final and then ending Lytchett Minster's unbeaten record in the Southern Counties Final.

Meanwhile, Amersham & Chiltern lost narrowly at Chippenham in National League 3 South West.
