WASPS will have two new half backs next season after announcing the signing this morning of a new scrum half.
Jack Moates will join from London Irish, following last Friday’s news that fly half Joe Carlisle is coming in from Worcester.
The 20-year-old said: “There are already some high quality scrum-halves at Wasps but I am looking forward to developing further under the likes of Dai Young and Shane Howarth so that I can challenge for a place in the first team.”
Director of rugby Dai Young said: “I have been impressed with Jack as a young scrum half both for the London Irish A side and their senior side over the past year or so and I know he is a very ambitious player.
“I believe a squad needs a strong mix of scrum halves over the course of the season and he will add to the mix alongside the likes of Joe Simpson and Charlie Davies.”
