'RUBBISH' is how Gareth Ainsworth described his side's display at Barnet last week, saying he wants a vastly improved performance against Port Vale tomorrow.

Wanderers put in what Ainsworth said was their worst performance during his time in charge as they were beaten 1-0 by a side fighting for survival.

He won't allow that level of display to be tolerated though and he doesn't want to see a repeat in the final game of the season.

Ainsworth said: "The lads are physically drained and mentally shattered, they really are. No excuses though, we were rubbish and that performance was not good enough for me.

"We were lucky we could get away with that but next season we can't. We can't have any game like that, we need to be on it every game. It's shown me there will be no room for complacency next year.

"I need another performance on Saturday. Port Vale will be wanting to go out on a high. We've transformed Wycombe in the last couple of games into a tough place to come and I want it to be a tough place to come on Saturday."
