BEACONSFIELD RFC have appointed Simon Tattersall as their new head coach.

Tattersall, who has coached Bucks U18s and now coaches rugby at the Beaconsfield School, replaces Allan Greene, who was sacked two games from the end of last season.

Club chairman Jim O’Toole said: “Our rugby directors conducted a robust selection process to fill this crucial role and we are delighted to have secured Simon’s services on a two-year contract.

“He is a well-respected young coach who comes highly recommended by people we consulted in the game. He brings fresh thinking and a new approach to coaching across the club.

“He comes with a professional approach but appreciates fully the traditional community and amateur ethos under which we operate.”

Tattersall’s main job will be promotion after Beaconsfield were relegated back to the Southern Counties League after just one season in London 1 North.

However, High Wycombe are just one of the teams standing in their way next year.

Tattersall,. who played for RGS High Wycombe, Henley Hawks and Chinnor as well as England U16, the South of England U20s and Germany at U202, will announce his coaches in due course.
