DAI Young described Joe Launchbury’s performance against Worcester as ‘amazing’ after the England lock covered every blade of the Adams Park turf to secure a 32-16 Wasps win.
The Wasps director of rugby said: “He’s changed his game slightly. He’s got a little bit tighter.
“We’re used to him coming off peoples shoulders and making big runs but I think he made 19 tackles last week and hit 20 rucks.
“He was dominant in his tackles [against Worcester] too and won a few turnovers.
“He does the bread and butter stuff that you want from a second row very, very well, but you know he’s got that football ability as well.”
Meanwhile, Young also reserved special praise for Sam Jones and new props Matt Mullan and Jake Woolley-Cooper, both of whom scored their first Wasps tries in the game.
