NEARLY 200 supporters turned up at Risborough Rangers FC on Saturday as they launched a new initiative between the senior and junior clubs.
The U7s formed a guard of honour for the first team, and capped the day off with a penalty shoot-out at half time.
Stephen Burnett of Rangers said: “The whole day was a tremendous success, and with a record breaking crowd of 172 the support was amazing.”
The day wasn’t so successful on the field with Kings Langley spoiling the party with a 1-0 victory.
However, they bounced back on Tuesday to beat Bucks Athletic 3-1 thanks to goals from Jamie Shrimpton, Olly Battams and Lawrence Clark.
On Saturday they host Letchworth Garden City in the first round of the Anagram Trophy.
