ELLIOT Daly’s return from a foot injury couldn’t be better timed for Wasps.

The centre will be back in the Wasps team to face Leicester Tigers on Sunday and the black and golds have missed him.

Director of rugby Dai Young admits the young centre gives the team their cutting edge and without him Wasps have sometimes been a blunt instrument in attack.

Daly said: “We have been unlucky in a few of the games this season, with a few kicks that have hit the posts and a few drops over the line.

“It has been a bit like that this season but I think this weekend we want to get back on track and show everyone what we can do.”

The top six remains Wasps’ aim, and beating the champions would be a line in the sand after an indifferent start.

He said: You know what they are going to bring – they are going to bring power, they are going to bring pace and precision as well.

“Niki Goneva at 13 has been awesome for them but I think he has picked up a knock in the last couple of weeks so I don’t know whether he will be playing.

“The power of their forward pack and the precision of their back play is really good so we just have to watch out for everyone really.

“We have done enough analysis on them so I think if we are precise in what we do we are going to get that win.”
