THE Wasps’ pack has been warned they are just one back game from undoing all their good work this season.
They prepare to pack down against one of the most high-performing forward units in the country on Sunday when Bath come to Adams Park, and prop Matt Mullan insists they can’t afford to take a backward step.
He said: “There is sometimes a harsh perception of Wasps from the outside, that they’ve not got a very good pack.
“I know from playing against them it never used to be easy, but Dai [Young, director of rugby] was keen to change the way this pack is seen from outside.
“I think that is changing, but we need to focus on what has got people talking about us. All it takes is one bad performance and people change their perception back to what it was.
“Bath have been going really well and a lot of their performances have been based around their pack. It will be a tough test for us, but we’ll be trying to prove we’re as good if not better.”
