JOSH Scowen has turned down a deadline day loan move away from Wanderers - while the club beat the transfer deadline to sign Danny Rowe from Rotherham United.
The arrival of the versatile 18-year-old defender has been confirmed by the club just after today's 5pm loan deadline.
But just as big a boost to Blues is the news Scowen turned down the chance of a move.
The Bucks Free Press understands a deal to sign the midfielder on loan, with a view to a permanent transfer in the summer, was made on deadline day.
It is understood Wanderers accepted the bid from the unnamed club but Scowen rejected the move, preferring instead to stay at Adams Park.
Both Scowen and Rowe are set to feature for Blues at Scunthorpe on Saturday.
Rowe had been on loan at Conference North outfit Stalybridge Celtic but Rotherham today recalled him and immediately sent him back out to Wanderers.
