High Wycombe’s Baby Belles under-15 rugby team produced a dominant display as they beat Welwyn 21-0 on Sunday.

The girls showcased some real attacking flair as Ella Whitaker scored a hat-trick while Melody Czakan was immaculate from the kicking tee to add the extras.

Whitaker’s first try owed much to the a superb tackle from Lola Curtis inside her own 22 which saw the ball go loose and Whitaker scoop it up to run the length of the pitch and score.

Curtis, who won player of the day for her defensive display, again turned the ball over and broke through three tackles before releasing Whitaker for the second shortly after.

The third and final score of the day came as the Belles controlled a rolling maul before getting the ball out to Whitaker who again showed her quality with a long solo run.

The girls also took part in a 7 a side match against Ellingham & Ringwood in what proved to be a thrilling encounter in which the teams could not be separated and drew 19-19.

Czakan added a try to her strong kicking exploits from the first game while Yesmin Gill and Seren Pepperall also added their names to the scoresheet in what was a keenly contested match.
